Today's Scintillating interview with Tasmin Baker!!

Welcome to Craving Erotic Romance Blogspot. Today we’re presenting Author: Tamsin Baker!

Thank you for inviting me on!

1) Have you always wanted to be an author? Pretty much, yes.
2) What genre(s) do you write? The list of what I don’t write would probably be shorter ;) but here goes. All types of ménage, MF, MM, FF, BDSM, Contemporary, Fantasy, Regency Historical, Country, BBW, Shifters, Vampires and I have another sweet pen name that I can’t tell you about, but she writes the non erotic stuff!
3)  Have you ever self published? Yes, a couple of very short reads, but nothing substantial.
4) Who or what inspired you to write your first book?  My first book was based around the formula of a mills and boon paperback, sexy range. It was inspired by a friend of mine and an office romance that I found interesting at the time. But that was over ten years ago and a lot has changed since then.
5) How many hours in a day might you write? Totally depends on the day. I have young children and a part time job, but I would do something writing related for at least an hour a day. On days off, maybe 6 hours?
6) Are you a plotter or a pantser? I’m a pretty big pantser. I do tend to resort to plotting when writing longer novels, but they’re not very detailed plans. I love it when stories reveal themselves to me in pieces. Surprises from characters are awesome.
7) Do you ever find yourself slipping away and becoming so immersed in your story it affects how you relate to others? It used to. In my first year of really writing it was all I talked about, all I wanted to do. Now, I’m a bit more balanced which is great.
8) Are you in any of your books? Not entirely no, but I do see lines or glimpses of myself in every one of my heroine’s.
9) What do your friends and family have to say about you writing? They think it’s great. My day job is science based, so this gives my creative side a turn for fun and it keeps me happy and balanced. My parents were a little shocked at the types of stories I wrote in the beginning but she’s much more comfortable now.
10) Please share an excerpt from your book that totally spoke to you when you put the words down on paper:

“You came!” Laura cried and threw her arms around the woman in silver, who laughed and hugged her back.
Come on, come on.
Laura pulled back and stared at her cousin.
“You look like shit, Ash.”
Jack frowned at Laura. That wasn’t a nice thing to say to her cousin, let alone a woman that beautiful. Jack’s balls tightened as he took in her voluptuous figure. He usually dated women who were ultra fit and trained hard to minimize their body fat.
He was instantly converted to women with fuller figures. Such incredible breasts and lush hips should be admired, not exercised into nonexistence.
He’d never look at a woman’s body the same way again.
The woman Laura had called Ash, sighed. “Thanks, sweetie, I know. Whereas you look bloody fantastic.”
Laura did a twirl and stuck her hip out at an angle. Cheeky woman.
“Why thank you, darling. The love of a good man…and all that.”
Ash quirked an eyebrow at Laura. “Or men, perhaps?”
Laura blushed and stared at her cousin, her mouth tugging down. “Yeah…well…”
Ash, who Jack was dying to touch, smiled at Laura with genuine warmth and love. “As long as you’re happy, honey.” Next to him, Scott shifted from foot to foot, just as impatient as Jack himself. Laura whirled around, seemingly just remembering that they were standing there waiting.
“Oh, Ash, let me introduce you to Brandon and Tyler’s cousins. It’s common in their family for men to be born into nonidentical twin sets. This is Scott and Jack. Guys, this is my cousin Ashleigh.”
Jack jumped and stepped forward with his brother, their backs ramrod straight as they stared at the woman in front of them.
Ashleigh’s face turned cold, her mouth pulling down on both sides.
“Nice to meet you gentlemen.”
Her tone was like ice, yet Jack wasn’t deterred. Whatever her baggage, they could cope. God knew they had enough of their own.
He stuck out his hand at the same time as Scott. He would have laughed if the moment hadn’t been so serious. This was it. With this first touch they would know if Ashleigh was the woman they’d waited twenty-five years for.
She looked at their hands as though they were the lowest form of life, but neither of them dropped their arms away.
No fucking way, beautiful. Pick one. Touch us.
Finally, Ashleigh sighed and reached up to shake Scott’s hand.
Watching it happen rather than being the first one to experience it hit Jack in the guts with disappointment, but he didn’t even blink, in case he missed something.
As her hand connected with Scott’s, Ashleigh gasped and her face reddened. Her knees obviously weakened as she began to crumple and sink closer to the ground.
Jack jumped forward to catch her and electricity shot through his body, straight through his arms and into his core, making his body want to meet the dirt himself. He groaned in time with Ashleigh, and she dropped Scott’s hand to cling to him.
Jack forced all of his strength into his legs and locked his knees while pure pleasure replaced the electrical pain. Like a cleansing white light, it slid through his chest and down his arms and legs.
She’s ours.
Ash stared up at him, her blue eyes shocked and vulnerable. Her lips parted as she took a breath, and Jack fought off the need to kiss her. His heart was thumping in his chest, and his cock stirred in his suit pants.
Ashleigh began to struggle in his arms, her eyebrows lowering as her mouth took on an angry tilt. Jack reluctantly let go of her solid warmth as soon as he was sure she could stand, and she staggered toward Laura. His arms were still tingling like he’d lifted weights for too long, yet he yearned to have her back and pressed against him.
“What the fuck was that?” Ash spat at them.
Jack bristled and lifted his hand in a sign that everything was okay when he heard several male cousins around them growl in warning.
Jack shared a look with his brother, then stared back at Ashleigh. What was the next step now?
“Ash, how long are you here for?” Laura asked, forcing Ash to stop staring at them like they’d committed some sort of crime.
“A week or so. I took some leave.”
Hell yes! They had time to convince her that she had to stay.
“Brilliant. We’re going away for the weekend, but have honeymoon plans for the summer. Will you stay with us next week when we come home again?”
Ash glanced at Scott and Jack for a moment, her brilliant blue eyes troubled. She looked back at Laura, nodding slowly.
“Yeah, sure. I’d love to catch up properly with you.”
Jack cleared his throat and held out his hand to Ash once again. He may as well start the ball rolling. They had the weekend to woo her, and he didn’t want to waste a single moment.
“Would you like a tour of the property?”
Ash glared at him with impressive strength. If she’d been a mountain lion, her fur coat would have been bristling and standing on end.
“No bloody way, and keep your hands to yourself.”
Ash turned tail in a flurry of silver silk and beautiful brown hair. Her back was ramrod straight as she stomped her way up the steps and into the house.
She’s got spunk. He had to admit, he was already proud to call her theirs.
Laura giggled, drawing their attention.
“You two are going to have your hands full with Ash if she’s yours.”

11) Which actor/character(s) would play the starring role? (you can attach pics and I’ll insert them, or add just names for here)
I don’t think I can answer this question I’m sorry- only because I’m not a very visual person. I don’t use pictures to inspire my characters, and I’ve gotten through writing whole books before, without really describing the characters. The way I see people is more through their energy rather than their physical body. I know it sounds like a cop out, but I promise its not!

Today's Scintillating Interview with London St. James!

Welcome to Craving Erotic Romance Blogspot.

Today we’re presenting Author: London St. James!

1)      Have you always wanted to be an author?
Actually, as a child I playacted out all the stories that were running around in my head! I’m one of those people who as soon as I learned how to write, I always scribbled down stories. So now that I look back, I suppose I’ve always wanted to be an author whether I really knew it or not.
2)      What genre(s) do you write?
Contemporary erotic romance mostly, along with BDSM. But I do have some PNR, and a western romance.
3)      Have you ever self published?
No. To date, all of my books have been through publishing companies. However, I do have a book in the works that I’m going to self pub. *Smiles*
4)      Who or what inspired you to write your first book?
Sadly, I’d never been encouraged to write by anyone in my life, except for one of my high school English teachers, and a professor in college as well. Regardless of real family encouragement, I wrote and stopped. Wrote and stopped. You know, had to do the sensible thing as I got older. I went to college, got a job, did all those sensible things, but I always came back to writing/scribbling. I suppose what truly inspired me, was I was tired of doing things I hated, and wanted to do something I loved.
Around four years ago, I became more serious about trying to get published, and I started to research publishing companies. I’d written a short story, Mistake, with a BDSM twist, so when I saw a submission call for a BDSM anthology called Master of Mine from Evernight Publishing, I decided to submit it. I figured what’s the worst thing that could happen? Being told, “You suck as a writer.” I prepared for the worst, but thankfully that didn’t happen.  Evernight liked my submission, and offered me a place in the anthology. From there I’ve been writing as fast as my brain can think and my fingers can type.
5)      How many hours in a day might you write?
That really depends on my muse. Sometimes I may write an hour in a day, or not at all. Sometimes I’ve been known to write all day, or stay up all night writing.
6)      Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I’m a pantser all the way!
7)      Do you ever find yourself slipping away and becoming so immersed in your  story it affects how you relate to others?
Hm… I don’t think so. I have however become somewhat a recluse while working on some of my bigger projects.
8)      Are you in any of your books?
I think there are little pieces of me in every one of my books.
9)      What do your friends and family have to say about you writing?
Only my closest of friends and my sexy man know I write and what I write. My sexy man is my biggest fan! For me, it was a bit wild to find someone who took an interest in what I did. And since my life has now become entwined within his, he makes it one of his missions to be completely supportive. He is always encouraging me to write more. And faster, God love him.
10)  Please share an excerpt from your book that totally spoke to you when you put the words down on paper.(you can use your publisher’s excerpt or a couple of lines there that will pique interest)
“Where are we going?” Wyndi asked.
“My room.” Five rapid heartbeats later, they were inside his bedroom with Petúr kicking the door closed behind them. “I need to know something,” he said in his honey tones.
Wyndi glanced up at him from under her lashes, and shivered. He was staring at her with eyes glinting gold. The braid he wore in his hair dangled down the right side of his cheek, tickling her.
“What do you want to know?”
“This.”
Petúr bent his head, slanted his mouth over hers, tongue tasting the line of her lips until she parted them on an intake of breath. When their flesh met, she closed her eyes. Fireworks exploded inside her head, the luminous sparks floating, then falling, falling, and transitioning into a force crashing down over her—a title wave of longing. She moaned, tasting the summer sky, morning dew, the sweetness of rainbows, sultry nights, and rain storms.
Mind whirling, her body shifting, she was lying on her back, fingers tangled into the nape of Petúr’s satiny hair, the other hand pressed against the steely strength of his shirt-covered chest. Every part of her became aware of him on some sort of molecular level. Yet nothing could have prepared her for what she experienced when he tucked himself between her thighs and groaned. Heat slammed into her core. Her stomach quivered. Her panties dampened. An inferno. Yes, surely it must be an inferno which lapped at her skin while their tongues tangled into infinity.

Today's Scintillating Interview with...Moira Callahan.

Welcome to Craving Erotic Romance Blogspot.

Today we’re presenting Author: Moira Callahan!

1) Have you always wanted to be an author? Actually I wanted to be a doctor, but between my dislike of chemistry, and the additional school time needed to get to that point combined with the horrendous hours put a damper on that. Thankfully I’ve always had a love for reading, and it began to turn into a love of writing in high school. Until last year I didn’t really see it as anything I might be serious about, more an outlet for everything pent up inside. But I took the leap and here I am.
2) What genre(s) do you write? Romance of course being the easiest of answers. Most of my books to date have been contemporary, and suspense. I’m playing around in paranormal now with a new project so we’ll see how that goes.
3)  Have you ever self published? No, not yet anyway. It was scary enough submitting to a publisher let alone thinking about trying to do all they do on my own.
4) Who or what inspired you to write your first book? My best friend, and a fellow author, actually. She’d been working on something at the time, and we got to talking. Generalities of course, but there was a point in that conversation that even now I can’t pinpoint exactly that triggered my brain, and had me writing out a wave of words. I had her read it when we were done and her first words were “You have to submit this, now!”
5) How many hours in a day might you write? Hours? We’re supposed to write in terms of hours? Eek! Okay, seriously though, I usually get in at least an hour a day. I have a pretty stressful day job so taking an hour each night to write is my way to relax. I may only get a couple hundred words down, or I might get a thousand. To me it really doesn’t matter as long as I have that time to let my mind wander through possibilities.
6) Are you a plotter or a pantser? Yes. After writing the first book in my series I realized I needed to keep track of things being it was to be a series, and certain elements would be required to carry through. While I’ve had more than my fair share of surprises from my characters along the way, which I don’t mind, I do like to have at least the core of the book plotted. Everything else is completely off the cuff.
7) Do you ever find yourself slipping away and becoming so immersed in your story it affects how you relate to others? I can’t say I have. Yet. Who knows what the future holds.
8) Are you in any of your books? I’m in every single book, and every character. I create each of the characters with one trait of mine minimum. Sometimes they have two, but rarely more than that. I found when I started the C&M series that I wasn’t invested in the characters, and they were kind of blah. So I scratched it all out, and started again. When I put a little of myself into them I related to them easier. As of yet I haven’t written a character that is entirely me, and only me, but even I don’t know what might come out of my head next.
9) What do your friends and family have to say about you writing? My author friends all say the same thing - about damn time. My other friends, non-author I mean, find it interesting and are always curious about what I’m working on currently. I constantly get questions from them. My family supports me but I’ve been told to not tell my niece what I write about until she’s eighteen. Minimum. LOL!
10) Please share an excerpt from your book that totally spoke to you when you put the words down on paper.(you can use your publisher’s excerpt or a couple of lines there that will pique interest)
From: Dangerous Pasts, C&M Security 5
“Yeah, he’ll have to come back eventually. Not for a while, though. Besides, he has a whole other life out in Washington, and other cases, I’m assuming.” Not that they’d really talked much. A little bit, enough to determine they were both single, available, and more than willing to find out if they were compatible in bed. Which they were. Extremely.
“You know, they have this wonderful invention called the phone. You pick it up, punch in a number, and it magically reaches across time and space to the person you want to speak to. Even better, they have this thing called Skype where you can even do a face-to-face with said person.”
With a thank you to the bartender, Chandra shot Denise a dirty look over the rim of her martini glass. “You are such a smartass,” she muttered setting the glass down.
“I know. Mack says it’s cute,” Denise told her.
Snorting at that, Chandra licked her lips. “Mack says a lot of things in regards to you, babe. He’s a man in love.”
“Yeah, he is.”
The dreamy look on her friend’s face made her gut jolt with a yearning for what she’d once had, and likely would never know again. Yes, she was more than a little jealous of what Denise and Mack shared. But that was her issue, and nothing to do with her friend. She was truly happy for Denise. She deserved to have the man of her dreams. Didn’t mean that Chandra couldn’t want and hope for the same. She did. Too often, unfortunately.

11) Which actor/character(s) would play the starring roles?

 Bradley Cooper to play Zachary

 Chandra - Christina Hendricks
